Pursuant to 13.106-1(b), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to negotiate a single source purchase order with The Idaho Transportation Department for national traffic data collection and data to support the Federal-Aid Highway program by co-sponsoring the 2024 National Travel Monitoring and Exhibition Conference (NaTMEC). The 2024 MaTMEC event is the only national event devoted to travel monitoring and traffic data for the next 2 years.
Historically, NaTMEC has served as the most important event for the traffic data collection, processing and application professionals at Federal, State and local governmental agencies along with private consultants, equipment manufacturers, and vendors. The event affords FHWA the needed platform to promote quality and timely traffic data to support the Federal-aid highway program. The 2024 NaTMEC event provides FHWA a national role to promote common formats, methods, practices and research to enable collaborative work with our state partners.
The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort. The responses must be received by May 19, 2023 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. All questions concerning this matter should be addressed directly to Jason Motala at jason.motala@dot.gov.
