The United States Army Corps of Engineers - Seattle District (NWS) is hosting an Industry Day on TBD to provide additional information on an upcoming requirement for a large civil works project with an estimated magnitude between $10,000,000 to $25,000,000 to refurbish and commission the powerhouse bridge crane. This scheduled Industry Day will provide the only opportunity for a site visit to get an overview of this project at Albeni Falls Dam. Due to site security another site visit opportunity may not be available until the solicitation period. The solicitation release date is anticipated in the January to March timeframe.

Please advise the Contract Specialist, Alex.R.Marcinkiewicz@usace.army.mil) and Project Manager Mamie Brouwer (Mamie.S.Brouwer@usace.army.mil) of your plan to attend the Industry Day no later than 20 October 2023 at 3:00 PM Pacific Time. You must pre-register to attend this Industry Day by submitting the attached RSVP form. Late respondents, those not pre-registered, or those not providing the correct information will not be granted access to the site. Participation is limited to five representatives from each interested entity.

ATTENDING THE INDUSTRY DAY IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SINCE IT IS UNLIKELY THAT AN ADDITIONAL SITE VISIT WILL BE OFFERED UNTIL THE SOLICITATION PERIOD.. The industry day is open to the large and small business community of prime contractors and significant subcontractors who may plan to submit a proposal for this proposed project.

The Industry Day Event will take place from 9:00 am PT to 2:30 pm MT. at Albeni Falls Dam, Oldtown, ID.

If you are a significant subcontractor, you must indicate in your RSVP questionnaire response, what firm you are partnering with to bid the work to gain access to the site.

Please ensure you bring your official Government picture identification to present to Security to gain entry to the site and powerhouse. Required personal protective equipment for the site visit includes hard hat, safety vest and boots/safety shoes. If you attend and do not have all of the required documents or equipment, you will not be granted access to the site.

In-processing begins for all Vendors at the main entrance. When you approach the gate, you will be required to present photo identification and state that you are attending the “AFD Powerhouse Bridge Crane Refurbishment Industry Day”. Your name will be checked against the pre-registered attendees’ list and you will then be directed to drive to the Administration Building where you will park your vehicle for the entirety of the site visit. AFD and Construction staff will direct you to the conference room for the safety briefing and project overview prior to proceeding to the powerhouse. Your safety gear will be inspected before entry into the powerhouse. Participants may be divided into groups of six individuals depending on number of participants.

-A tour of the project site
