Presolicitation Notice



Frenchman Creek Bridge Replacement



Sawtooth National Forest



Project Description:



Furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary to accomplish the work under this contract. This project will construct a new road bridge in the same location as the existing one that was damaged beyond repair last year in the Ross Fork Fire. Construction will consist of 1) removing/disposing of existing bridge; 2) installing a new approximately 16’ wide by 28’ long treated timber bridge superstructure set on new treated timber abutments including construction of new abutment riprap armoring material and placement of new asphalt wear surface; 3) removing the existing asphalt road approaches and installing new; and 4) performing other miscellaneous improvements as required.



Project Location:



From Stanley, Idaho, proceed south on State Highway 75 for approximately 26.3 miles to the junction with Forest Road 70195. Turn right and proceed on Forest Road 70195 for approximately 1.2 miles to the project location.



Contract Time:



June 2023-November 3, 2023



The magnitude of proposed project is between $250,000 and $500,000.



Project drawings will be provided as attachments to the Request for Proposal (RFP).



The complete solicitation package will be attached and made available only through SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home on or within 15-30 days after site visit. Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from SAM.gov. Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office. All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to update files.



This requirement is being solicited as a Small Business set-aside, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract. A single award will be made from the solicitation.



All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http:www.sam/gov/ before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for the award and removed from consideration.
