DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The contractor shall provide all supervision, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to ensure that snow removal services are performed at the Forest Service Idaho City District Office (A) M-F, located at 3833 Highway 21, Idaho City, Idaho 83631, Compound and Research Station (B) located at 17 Research Rd, Idaho City, Idaho 83631 and Forest Service
residential housing area (C) located Northwest of Idaho City on Research Rd. loop, off of Centerville road (see attached maps).
The contractor shall remove snow and ice from parking areas, driveways, and roads as noted on the attached maps. The contractor shall ensure that berms, drifts, etc. are removed that preventaccess to sidewalks and entryways.
Snow will be removed from the district office location (A) M-F by 6am, when snow accumulation meets or exceeds 3 inches during a snow event*, except on Holidays. Snow will be removed from the research compound (B) and the residential area (C) when accumulation meets or exceeds 3 inches during a snow event, except holidays. Areas shall be cleared by the time listed in the schedule of items. Multiple snow removals may be required for any business day for the district office, research center or residential area and will be coordinated with the COR before snow removal.
Care will be taken to ensure that sidewalks, landscaping, sprinklers, and curbs, gates, vehicles, etc. are not damaged during snow removal. The contractor is responsible for repairing damage to these and any other items damaged by snow removal efforts. The contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining necessary indicators around areas prone to damage. Snow shall be deposited in the appropriate location(s) as identified by the attached map or as designated by the COR. Removal of piled snow will be coordinated with COR. The COR has the option to remove the snow or request the contractor to move the snow to the storage area.
Federal Holidays include:
New Year' s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Contractors shall have access to the areas from 6PM till time listed on schedule of items.
*Snow event is defined as any accumulation from 6am to 6am the next official service day.
